Yvonne "Bonnie" (Lewis) Johnson

Yvonne M. “Bonnie” Johnson, 90, of Oakdale, died Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at St. Clair Memorial Hospital, Mt. Lebanon.
She was born January 31, 1924, a daughter of the late William H. and Angeline (Beard) Lewis.
Mrs. Johnson was a retired teller from Mellon Bank in Crafton. She also was a case worker at the former Oakdale Boy’s Home and its Director of Music.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, McDonald and the church organist for 65 years.
On April 1, 1985, she married Samuel D. Johnson, who died February 23, 1998.
Surviving are two daughters, Tonya D. Starz of Gibsonia and Dawyna R. Steed of Paulsboro, NJ; a son, Garrette L. Edmonds of Lawrence; and five grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Monte G. Edmonds; three sisters, Louise Henderson, Wilma Jean Oliver and Mary Margaret Davenport; and a brother, Thomas Lewis.
Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and from 6 – 9 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, 143 N. McDonald St., McDonald, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 27 under the direction of Nation Funeral Home, Inc. Burial will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald.
