William "Hush" C. Elias

William “Hush” C. Elias, age 75, of Sturgeon, passed away on Sunday, June 9th, 2024.

He was born July 31, 1948 in Canonsburg; son of Harry Elias and Wilma Jean Moore Elias Skrip.

William was a graduate of Burgettstown High School class of 1966.  He then joined the United States Army, where he proudly served in the Vietnam War.  He worked for Memorex-Telex in Greentree and then was a delivery driver for the The Tomeyko Group from where he retired in 2013.

On September 19th, 1973, he married the love of his life, Deborah A. Bain who survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, Courtney D. (Buddy) Elias-Sedora of Sturgeon, and Justin B. (Holly) Elias of Castle Shannon; Four Grandchildren Peyton, Alex & Alyssa Elias and Paxton Sedora; a sister, Jean Ann (Len) Track of Titusville, FL; two brothers, Ronald Elias of Midway and Randy (Sherri) Elias of Paris, PA;  as well as many nieces and nephews.

Preceeded in death are two brothers, Harry Elias Jr, and Tom Elias.

William was a past president of the Sturgeon Volunteer Fire Department, where he selflessly served his community and a former member of the Sturgeon Belgium Club.  He enjoyed spending time with his loving family and friends, making everyone laugh with his quick wit and humor.  In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, riding his motorcycle and beating his family in Jeopardy.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Graff-Nation Funeral and Cremation Service LLC; where a funeral service will take place on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald, PA.
