William P. Stephens

William P. “Bill” Stephens 75, of McDonald, died on April 10, 2017.

He was born August 18, 1941 in Pittsburgh, son of William P. and Beulah (Miller) Stephens

On April 4, 1964 he married Janey Rae (Masquelier) who survives.

Mr. Stephens was a graduate of Crafton High School, then went on to serve in the United States Army. He then worked for Masquelier Ford for 10ys before working for US Airways where he retired after nearly 30yrs. Bill then kept busy working part-time at Walmart in Heidelberg.

Mr. Stephens was a life-time member of the McDonald Volunteer Fire Department, volunteered working at the Food Co-op Farm. He was a member of Chartiers Lodge 297 F&AM. He loved his family, his friends, his garden, his flowers, his birds and fishing.

Surviving is a son, William Louis “Lou” (Cheri) Stephens of McMurray; a daughter Stephanie (Dave) Pettengill of Virginia; three sisters, Adrienne Winovich of Virginia, Virginia (Jim) Smyrles of Florida and Nancy Stephens; a brother Lynwood Stephens of North Carolina; five cherished grandchildren, Lauren (Clay), David, and Erin Pettengill, Elizabeth (Shafer) Earley and Shawna Lair; two beautiful great-grandchildren, Gracie Elizabeth and Harper Rose Earley. Family will receive friends Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave. McDonald where a service will be held Friday, April 14, 2017 at 11:00 am.
