William F. Rupert, Jr., 67, of Robinson Township died Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at his home in Bulger.
He was born August 5, 1947 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late William F. and Ethel (Tracey) Rupert, Sr.
Mr. Rupert was a machinist at Glen Carbide in Carnegie for 35 years and then at Red Valve in Carnegie for 5 years. He retired in 2010.
He was a member of St. Ann’s R.C. Church, Bulger. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening, however, his family came first. He coached both softball and basketball when his children were young.
On February 7, 1975, he married Arlene Edna Holzshu, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Debra (Thomas) Zietak of Bulger; a son, William P. (Rose) Rupert Sr. of Bethel Park; two sisters, Karen Madeya and Andrea Rupert, both of Crafton; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Deceased are a sister, Cynthia Nix and a brother, Calvin Rupert.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and from 7-9 p.m. Friday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, March 28 at St. Ann's R.C. Church, Bulger, with Rev. Robert Staszewski officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made on behalf of the family to Nation Funeral Home, 218 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, PA 15057.
