William E. McElhany

William E. McElhany age 96, of McDonald, passed Saturday, October 5, 2024.
He was born February 26, 1928 in McDonald; a son of Willian Charles and Adeline Faber McElhany.
William was a graduate of McDonald High School class of 1946. He then served in the United States Army during World War II. After serving in The Army he began working for Bell Telephone Company where he retired in 1987.
On June 12, 1948, he married Deleta Norene Anderson, who passed June 28, 2022.
William was a member of the Chartiers Masonic Lodge 297 since 1955. He was a lifelong member of McDonald, Presbyterian Church, formerly Calvary Presbyterian Church. William was model train enthusiast and enjoyed music, especially Jazz.
Surviving are two children, Jon (Mary Ann) McElhany of Ephrata, PA., and Patricia Lewis of Canonsburg, PA; four grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother George McElhany.
At the request of William, all services will be private and entrusted to Graff- Nation Funeral and Cremation Service LLC 218 E. Lincoln Ave. McDonald, PA. 15057. He will be laid to rest next to his wife Deleta at Robinson Run Cemetery.
