William E. Daniels

William E. Daniels, 89, of McDonald, died Sunday, May 7, 2017 at St. Clair Memorial Hospital of Pittsburgh.

He was born December 12, 1927 in McDonald, a son of the late Rupert H. and Teresa C. (Whalen) Daniels.

Mr. Daniels worked as a millwright for 35 years at Shenango Corporation, Neville Island.

He was a member of St. Alphonsus R.C. Church, McDonald and the U.S.W.A. Local #2258. He enjoyed wood working during the winter and working in his garden beginning in the spring. He also enjoyed listening to country music and playing cards.

Mr. Daniels served in the Army during World War II.

On November 25, 1948, he married Doris M. Browett, who died June 29, 1994. In November of 1996 he got married again, to Marlene Rogale, who survives.

Surviving are three daughters, Marie L. (Robert) Strike, Alice J. (James) Leonard, and Carol A. (Michael) Klimas, all of McDonald; a son, William A. (Diana) Daniels of McDonald;  two sisters, Flavia Lucarini of McDonald and Ruth Ann Gentile of Tarentum; two brothers, Edward Daniels and Richard Daniels, both of McDonald; eleven grandchildren, Christina Worstell, Michelle Cunningham, Brian Strike, Jacelyn Pulleo, Christopher Daniels, Seth Leonard, Adam Leonard, Amy Bartlett, Eric Klimas, Dawn Jeannette and Nathan Klimas; and 18 great grandchildren.

Deceased are five brothers, Regis, Arthur, Paul, Carl and Leo Daniels; two sisters, Mildred Cowden and Margaret Albertini; and two great grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 12-4 and from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017 at St. Alphonsus R.C. Church, McDonald with Rev. Ben Vaghetto, celebrant. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Moon Township. Memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of one’s choice.
