Wayne N. Tournay Sr.

Wayne N Tournay, Sr., 81, of McDonald, died Sunday, October 30, 2011 at Country Meadows of South Hills.
He was born November 14, 1929 in McDonald, a son of the late Gustave and Nancy (Poudevigne) Tournay.
Mr. Tournay was a 1947 graduate of McDonald High School and served in the U.S. Army following WWII.
He worked for Weirton Steel in the Fuel Department for 36 years before retiring in 1983.
Mr. Tournay was a member of Iron’s Memorial U.P. Church, McDonald and a member of Chartiers Lodge #297 F&AM, Canonsburg. He enjoyed hunting and carpentry.
On July 31, 1951 he married Margaret J. Thomas, who died September 10, 1999.
Surviving are two daughters, JoAnn (Gerald) Kuhn of Ligioner and Cynthia Currin (Matthew) McDermitt of Cranberry Twp.; a son, Wayne N. (Cathy) Tournay, Jr. of Lithia, FL; a brother, Daniel (Nancy) Tournay of Weirton, WV; a sister, Wilma Carnahan of Weirton, WV; a sister-in-law, Betty Roach of McDonald; six grandchildren, Kevin and Keith Kuhn, Jason Tournay, Abby Hastings, Crystal Bombard and Jessica Ryan; and two great grandchildren, Connor Patrick and Braden Thomas Kuhn.
Deceased are four brothers, Norman, Charles, Gustave and Howard Tournay; and a sister, Naomi Longstreth.
Arrangements are private and under the direction of Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald. The family suggests memorials be made to Iron's Memorial Presbyterian Church, 147 N.
