Vera Cox, 95, of McDonald, died Saturday, January 31, 2015.
She was born February 13, 1919 in Mt Pleasant Township, a daughter of the late Harry Edward and Anna May (Griffith) Brinkman.
Mrs. Cox attended Cross Connections Alliance Church in McDonald.
On July 27, 1940 she married Lawrence J. Cox, who died May 3, 2005.
Surviving is a son, Richard (Janet) Cox of Oakdale; a daughter, Donna Jean Cox of Alum Bank; a brother, Raymond (Elaine) Brinkman of Coraopolis; two sisters, Eleanor (William) Stewart of McDonald and Beulah (Gerald) DeVos of Harrisburg; a grandson, Jason Richard (Christina) Cox of Firestone, CO; and a great grandson, Jordan Eric Cox.
Deceased are three brothers, Thomas Jefferson “Jeff”, Harry E. Jr., and Louis Brinkman; one sister, Betty Brinkman; and a grandson, Eric Wayne Cox.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, February 3, 2015, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2015. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Parkinson’s Disease Association, 490 East North Ave., Suite 500, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15212.
