Velma B. Cardillo, 76, Bulger, died Monday, March 19, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital of Warren , OH.
She was born February 26, 1936 in Carnegie, the daughter of the late Armando and Angelina (Vittori) Novelli.
Mrs. Cardillo was a homemaker and a member of the Christian Mothers of Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church, Burgettstown. She also attended St. Ann’s R.C. Church in Bulger.
On September 27, 1958, she married Julius F. Cardillo, who died February 14, 1984.
Surviving are a daughter, Julianne (companion Raul Huambachano) Cardillo of Cortland, OH; two sisters, Mary Malachow of Pittsburgh and Jeannette Cavey of Washington; a sister-in-law, Mary Novelli; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a niece she raised, Alberta Anderson; and two brothers, John and Louis Novelli.
Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and from 7 – 9 p.m. Wednesday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 22 at St. Patrick R.C. Church, 7322 Noblestown Rd., Oakdale, with Rev. Gary Oehmler celebrant. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
