Valerie Diane (Shotis) Mink

Valerie Diane Mink, 73, of Imperial died Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born April 4, 1948 in Canonsburg; a daughter of Andrew and Margaret (Pierrard) Shotis.

Mrs. Mink was a graduate of Fort Cherry High School.

She worked as a housekeeper at John J. Kane, both at Scott Township and at Ross, for 34 years before retiring in 2011.

She enjoyed shopping, dancing, bowling, house plants and socializing. She loved her cats, Linus and Lucy.

Surviving are two daughters, Tammy (Terry) Bain of Oakdale and Tina Johnson of Imperial; a son, James Johnson of McDonald; a sister, Rose O’Neil of Muse; five grandchildren, Jess Bain, Maddie Johnson Martin, Samantha Patterson, Matthew Johson and Justin Holiday; and four great grandchildren, Aaliyah Hewitt, Blair Martin, Demi Patterson and Miles Patterson.

Deceased are four sisters, Shirley Wilkins, Gloria Yaworski, Barbara Loadman and Terri Schillinger.
