Steven P. Matalik

Steven P. Matalik, age 65, of McDonald, passed on Tuesday, January 2, 2023.
He was born June 6, 1957 in Imperial; a son of the late Joseph and Mary Wozniak Matalik.
Steve was a lifelong fixture of McDonald. You would always see him walking down the sidewalk of town talking to everyone he ran into. He would cut grass for local residents along with his brother George. He was an honorary member of the McDonald Volunteer Fire Department where he would volunteer his time during events such as the McDonald McSummerfest. Steve also attended St. Isidore the Farmer Parish in McDonald. He also enjoyed spending time with Ed in Ocean City Maryland.
Surviving are three brothers, George Matalik of Atlasburg, Michael Matalik of Texas, and Joseph Matalik of Atlasburg; a sister, Mary Ann (Phil) Laquatra, and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a brother, John Matalik.
A Memorial Gathering will take place on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 6:30 to 7:30 at Nation Funeral Home Inc. 220 E. Lincoln Ave. McDonald, PA. 15057. A blessing service will take place immediately following the Memorial Gathering at 7:30PM
