Shirley (Roach) Dixon, 82, of Cecil Township, died peacefully on Monday, February 9, 2015, at Canonsburg Hospital

She was born in Pittsburgh on Dec 2, 1932, a daughter of the late Helen and George Hain.

Mrs. Dixon was the owner of the former Southview Tavern and a member of the Tavern Association.

She married Ronald Dixon, who died April 16, 2002.

Surviving are a son, George J (Sharon) Roach; a granddaughter, Megan Roach; a sister, Bonnie (Ron) Rudolph; six nieces and nephews, Bryan (Pam) Rudolph, Kevin (Kira) Rudolph, Tom Starkey, Judy Starkey, Wayne (Tracy) Starkey, and Susan (Brian) Bergman; a friend, Jeff Skarupa; and many grandnieces and grandnephews.

Deceased is a sister, Edna Starkey.

Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 12 at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Internment in Bethel Cemetery, Bethel Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Washington County Humane Society, 1527 Route 136, Eighty Four, PA 15330 or a charity of your choice.
