Roger L. Powell

Roger L. Powell, age 55, of McDonald, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.

He was born March 11, 1967 in Pittsburgh; a son of the late Wilbur Louis Powell and Mildred Louise Glaspell.

Roger was a 1986 graduate of Fort Cherry High School. He went on to get his CDL and began working as a cross country truck driver. He started teaching at P.I.A. in Pittsburgh in their truck division for approximately 6 years. His latest position was driving truck for the U.S.P.S.

Roger loved spending time with his family and friends, especially during the holidays.

Surviving are two brothers, Dennis (Rene) Powell and Kenneth Powell, both of Bridgeville; two sisters, Linda L. Leadbitter of Sturgeon and Trish (Shawn) Cerezo of New Bethlehem; nine nieces and nephews, Jeremy and Thomas Leadbitter, Amity Henry, Erin, Tim, Nina and Matt Cerezo, Greg and Jeff Powell; and three great nephews, Peyton, Jackson and Malaki.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Nation Funeral Home Inc. 220 E. Lincoln Ave. McDonald; where a service will take place on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 11:00 am. At the request of Roger, everyone is asked to dress casual. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or your favorite organization.
