Roberta Joyce (Johnson) Cooper

Roberta Joyce Cooper, 70, of Sturgeon, died Monday, June 18, 2012 at St. Clair Memorial Hospital, Mt. Lebanon.
She was born March 28, 1942 in Primrose, a daughter of the late Robert and Cora (Moss) Johnson.
In 1966, she married Obediah Cooper, who died in 2000. Their lives led them to live in Detroit, MI for most of their lives and she worked as a secretary for Bodsford Hospital for many years.
Following Mr. Cooper’s death, Mrs. Cooper moved back to Sturgeon and made her home with her nephew Robert “Tucker” Johnson and his wife Connie. She loved playing cards and was often found playing Bid Whist or Tonk.
Surviving are a sister, Elizabeth Johnson of Lawrence; a brother, Robert Brown of Burgettstown; a granddaughter, Tamara Harris; two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Layla Harris; and many nephews and nieces.
Deceased is a son, Craig Lamont Johnson; and a sister, Jane Tucker.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday, June 22 at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, with Rev. Dan Lutz officiating.
