Robert  C. “Bob” Toward Jr.

Robert  C. Toward Jr., 84, of McDonald, passed Thursday, October 7, 2021.

He was born February 3, 1937 in McDonald; a son of Robert, Sr. and Flora P. Pierrard Toward.

Mr. Toward was a graduate of McDonald High School. Bob became a master mechanic where he worked for Wheelabrator in Carnegie for over 40 years and then Pullman Power in Carnegie for 15 years before retiring in 2016.

On April 27, 1957 he married, Donna J. Perrard who survives.

Bob enjoyed fishing and hunting with his Beagles. He had a love for animals, caring for many pets.

Surviving in addition to his wife are four children, Shari (Robert) Kunca, of VA, Cathy (Michael) Gavran of McDonald, Karrie Toward of McDonald, and Kara (William) Berthold of N. Fayette Twp; a sister Flora “Jean” Pradetto-Chapman of FL; four grandchildren Christopher Kunca, Michael Gavran, Samantha and Nicholas Berthold.

Deceased is a sister Pauline Sloat.

At the request of Bob all services will be private and entrusted to Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, PA 15057.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
