Robert Patrick Moran

Robert Patrick Moran, 50, of McDonald, died Monday, October 26, 2015 in his home.

He was born May 23, 1965 in Pittsburgh, a son of Catherine R. “Jean” (McLaughlin) Moran of McDonald and the late James John Moran.

Mr. Moran was a 1984 graduate of Fort Cherry High School. He last worked as a nursing assistant, a meat cutter at Giant Eagle and had also worked at Quality Rolls in Pittsburgh.

He was an avid fan of Facebook and one of his greatest joys was getting to move back to McDonald with all of his family and friends.

Surviving in addition to his mother are two brothers, James J. (wife Janet) Moran of Pittsburgh and Richard J. (wife Jo Anne) Moran of Presto; five sisters, Kathleen M. (husband Marty) Gosh of Marcellus, NY, Elizabeth “Betsy” (husband Larry) Toulouse of Washington, Patricia M. (husband Bill) Demascal of Avella, Mary A. (husband Chris) Duranti and Susan T. Moran, both of McDonald; the love of his life, Susan Yochum of McDonald; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 1 – 4 and from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 2015 at St. Alphonsus R.C. Church, McDonald with Rev. Ben Vaghetto, celebrant.
