Robert A. Kelso, 91, of Washington, died Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at his home.
He was born June 7, 1922 in Allegheny County, a son of the late George M. and Bessie M. (Doughty) Kelso, Sr..
Mr. Kelso was a 1941 graduate of North Fayette High School and attended 2 years at Clarion College.
He worked as a Dairy Farmer until his retirement in 2006. He began on the Kelso Dairy Farm in North Fayette Township and following WWII, bought a farm in Mt. Pleasant Township.
Mr. Kelso was a member and past elder of Center Presbyterian Church, Midway, a member of the Miller’s Run Grange and a member of the Raccoon Cemetery Board.
On April 25, 1953, he married Marjorie W. Cleek, who survives.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Mark M. and Donald M. Kelso; and two sisters, Sara F. Plance and Betty F. Scott.
Friends will be received from 5 – 8 p.m. on Friday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7 with Rev. Brian Kilbert, pastor of Center Presbyterian Church, Midway officiating. Burial will follow in Raccoon Cemetery, Candor.
