Robert C. Allen

Robert C. Allen Sr. age 85, of McDonald, passed Thursday, October 13, 2022.

He was born July 16, 1937 in Westland; a son of Leonard Louis and rose Lee Akers Allen.

Mr. Allen was a graduate of Hickory High School class of 1955.

He retired as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service in McDonald.

On January 13, 1992, he married, Julia A. Runco, who survives.

Robert was a member of the First Baptist Church in McDonald where he served as a Deacon. He was the former President of the McDonald Lions Club, Chairman of the McDonald Sewage Authority, and Exalted Ruler of McDonald Elks Club in McDonald. Mr. Allen was an avid bowler He also coached softball.

Surviving are three daughters, Doris Lynn Allen of Cecil Twp., Robin Alaine Allen of Bethel Park, and Janell Augon of Georgia; a sister Lorraine Minney of Canonsburg; six grandchildren, Deaven Allen, Christian and Jeffrey Clark, Nakia and Indya Hainesworth and Neena Augon; four great grandchildren, Cayden Allen, Jamar Samuel III, Roman Hainesworth and Angel Price; many nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two sons, Robert C. Allen Jr., and William Maurice Allen; two brothers James Allen and Fredrick Allen; a sister Barbara Jean Porter and a great grandson Andre’ Price.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at nation Funeral Home Inc. 220 E. Lincoln Ave. McDonald, PA. 15057. A Going Home Service will take place Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 11AM in The First Baptist Church of McDonald, 141 N. McDonald St. McDonald, PA. 15057. Entombment will take place at Forest Lawn and Gardens, McMurray. Memorial contributions are suggested to The First Baptist Church of McDonald or Concordia Hospice 10 Leet St. Washington, PA 15301.
