Richard L. Moreau

Richard L. Moreau, 67, of McDonald, died Monday February 20, 2012.

He was born August 6, 1944 in McDonald, a son of Henry and Alberta Delaney Moreau.

Mr. Moreau was a 1963 Graduate of Fort Cherry High School. He worked for Columbia Teledyne in Carnegie for twelve years where he retired in 1989. He then worked as a body repairman for Bianci Cheverolet in McDonald, Fulton Buick in Carnegie and Massey Buick in Dormont.

Mr. Moreau was a McDonald Councilman in McDonald from 2007 to 2009. He was a past member of Sturgeon Fire Department and a current member of the Franco Belguim Club in Sturgeon and the McDonald Volunteer Fire Department. He also was a member of the McDonald Area Redevelopment Association (MARA).

On May 8, 1981 he married Carole L. Hohn Robertson who survives.

Also surviving are two children, Tracy (David) Hartner of Washington, and Bob (Dawn) Moreau of S. Fayette Twp.; five step children, Tammy (Jim) Leadbitter of Midway, Lonny Robertson, Kevin (Jodi) Robertson, Danny (Kirsten) Robertson and Marie (Al) Maximovich all of McDonald; fifteen grandchidren and one great grandchild.

Deceased are two brothers, Arthur and Henry Moreau.

Family will receive friends, Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Nation Funeral Home Inc. 220 E. Lincoln Ave. McDonald, where services will be held Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald.
