Raymond W. Phillips, 86, formerly of McDonald, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Masonic Village of Sewickley.

He was born March 10, 1929 in McDonald, the son of the late Raymond and Sara (Crew) Phillips.

Mr. Phillips was a 1947 graduate of Neville island High School. He earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.

He served in the U.S. Army and was recalled to the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

Mr. Phillips was Vice President of Sales and Engineering of Blawnox Corporation, retiring in 1990.

He was a member of McDonald Presbyterian Church and of the Masonic Blue Lodge. He was an avid golfer, a member of Montour Country Club and enjoyed talking about his grandchildren.

In 1954, he married Dorothy Randour, who died in 1995.

Surviving are two sons, Jeffrey W. (Sandra) Phillips of Ravenna, OH and David L. (Patricia) Phillips of McDonald; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Phillips, Jennifer (Greg) Russell, David Phillips and Sara (Ryan) Reilly; and two great grandchildren, Kooper Russell and Jackson Reilly.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 23 with Rev. Justin Amsler, officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Dr, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
