Paula D. (Johnson) King

November 22, 1953 — April 7, 2014

Paula Denise King, 60, of Coraopolis, died Monday, April 7, 2014 at her home.

She was born November 22, 1953 in Sewickley, a daughter of the late James William and Ella Mae (Brown) Johnson Sr.

Mrs. King graduated from Shaw H.S. in E. Cleveland, OH in 1971. She was a mother and homemaker and worked as a Patient Claims Representative for U.P.M.C., Pittsburgh for 5 years. She also had worked as a security guard for the University of Pittsburgh.

Most important in her life was Christ and her faith. She enjoyed listening to Oldies and to the KLOVE Christian radio station. She was very artistic and it showed in her love of sewing, cake baking and oil paintings. She also was an avid horticulturist.

Surviving are three daughters, Nichole P. (Mark) Faber and Danielle King, both of Vandergrift, and Terah King of Phoenix, AZ; two sons, Torran L. King of Phoenix, AZ, and David King of Erie; her husband, Torran A. King of Apollo; four sisters, Catherine (George) Gilchrist of Moon Township, Lynn Johnson of Pittsburgh, Lisa Jackson of Leetsdale, and Loretta Moss of Canonsburg; a brother, James William Johnson of Butler; and 6 grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and from 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 14 with the Rev. Barry Givner, pastor of First Baptist Church, McDonald, officiating.  Burial will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made on behalf of the family to Nation Funeral Home, 218 E.
