Paul E. James, 80, of Bulger, died Friday, July 6, 2012 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV.
He was born June 19, 1932 in Hickory, a son of the late William and Mildred (Beck) James.
Mr. James was a graduate of West Allegheny High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Before his retirement in 1985, he worked as a laborer at J&L Steel, Aliquippa and was a member of the United Steel Workers of America.
He loved to hunt and fish. As a young man, he enjoyed fishing at Canonsburg Lake and more recently, he would spend most of his time fishing at Cross Creek Lake County Park.
On January 31, 1959, he married Bonita Campbell, who died June 12, 2007.
Surviving are a son, David R. James of Bulger; two daughters, Darlene A. James of Bulger and Carol L. (Richard) Flinn of Washington; a brother, Phillip “Bud” (Patricia) James of McDonald; two sisters, Edith L. (Dale) Pruse and Elsie (Gilbert) Kovach, both of McDonald; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a brother, John B. James.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 11 with Debra Dague officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
