Patricia Lou (Mcmanigle) Toward

Patricia Lou Toward, 74, of McDonald, died Monday, December 21, 2015 at Anderson Mercy Hospital of Cincinnati, OH.

She was born September 13, 1941 in Rochester, the daughter of the late Wayne and Pearl (Rance) McManigle.

Mrs. Toward was a 1959 graduate of West Allegheny High School. Before retiring, she worked as an aide at both John J. Kane and Mayview State Hospitals.

She attended Gospel Way Church in Canonsburg.

Mrs. Toward liked to travel and take photographs, which she then would use to create numerous scrapbooks. She devoted time and effort into genealogy and discovering family roots; preserving family memories and treasures was important to her. She enjoyed baking, cooking, crocheting, and was an avid Steeler fan.

On January 12, 1965, she married James C. Toward, who survives.

Also surviving are four daughters, Cathy Baker of Burgettstown, Tracy Toward of Amelia, OH, Jennifer (Daniel) Kaufman of Carrollton, OH, and Mary Pat Toward of Bentleyville; one brother, Robert McManigle of McKees Rocks; nine grandchildren, Christopher and Shannon Baker, Robert, Christina and Abigail Laroy, Daniel, Ryan and Ashley Kaufman, and George Markovich; and four great grandchildren, Charlie, Benjamin, Hailey, and Colton.

An infant daughter, Patty Toward died at birth.

All visitation and services are private and under the direction of Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald. Burial will be in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald.
