Nancy R. (Ducci) Baker

Nancy R. Baker, 85, of McDonald, died Sunday, November 1, 2015.

She was born April 14, 1930 in Moon Run, a daughter of the late Anthony and Ida (Tambellini) Ducci.

Mrs. Baker was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Ann R.C. Church in Bulger, a member of the Montour Valley Horsemen’s Association and baked apple pies for the Meals on Wheels Program.

Mrs. Baker was very faithful to her God, loved to cook and celebrate with family and friends, loved to decorate for every holiday and season, and cherished time spent with her grandchildren.

On November 27, 1952, she married John L. Baker, who died on March 2, 2005.

Surviving are four daughters, Susan M. (Fritz) Reboul, Nanette M. (Paul) Battista, Renee G. (Jim) Lucas and Janine A.(Michael) Willy, all of McDonald; three sons, Paul J. (Karen) Baker of Burgettstown, Mark A. (Cindy) Baker and John M. (Lynne) Baker, both of McDonald; in-laws, Elaine M. Tummino of McDonald and Richard D. Plance of Hookstown; fifteen grandchildren, Aaron, Theresa, Rae Dawn, Nicholas, Lacey, Lisa, John Paul, Amber, Rachel, Adam, Carly, Alex, Philip, John Robert and Alyssa; and 6 great grandchildren.

Deceased are two brothers, Albert and Joseph Ducci; two sisters, Mary Snyder and Yolanda DelBianco; and a grandson, Bryan.

Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and from 6 – 9 p.m. Wednesday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 5, 2015 at St. Ann R.C. Church, Bulger with Rev. Robert Staszewski, celebrant. Burial will follow in Baker Family Cemetery, McDonald. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, St. Alphonsus R.C. Church, 219 W.
