Nancy C. (Salmon) Abbott

Nancy C. Abbott, 79, of Midway, died Friday, August 12, 2022 at St. Clair Memorial Hospital, Mt. Lebanon.

She was born October 3, 1942 in McDonald; the daughter of Edward and Helen (Kuptus) Salmon.

Nancy was a dietician for Mayview State Hospital for 26 years before retiring in 2006.

She was devoted to her grandchildren and family. She enjoyed spending recreational time at the Meadows.

On May 11, 1965 she married Raymond L. “Butch” Abbott, Sr., who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Kim (husband Fred) Evans of Slippery Rock and Jody Nichols of Midway; a son, Raymond L. (wife Missy) Abbott, Jr. of Hickory; a granddaughter, Christina (husband Jarrod) Floyd; and a great granddaughter, Alexa Floyd.

Deceased are three brothers, John, Bob and Ed Salmon.

The family will have private services at Nation Funeral Home, Inc. and a private burial at Robinson Run Cemetery.
