Michael William Norton

August 11, 1970 — July 20, 2015

Michael William Norton, 44, of Lakewood, OH died Monday, July 20, 2015 at his home.

He was born August 11, 1970 in Point Pleasant, NJ, a son of Carole K. (Kirk) Soubie of Conneaut Lake and the late William T. Norton.

Mr. Norton earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Slippery Rock University in 1993. He worked as a bar tender for Nick’s Sports Bar in Cleveland, OH.

He was a member of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity and one of the founders of the “Clown Crawl” in
Chicago, IL. He loved music and was in charge of the radio station at Slippery Rock while he was in college. He was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling and was a devoted Pittsburgh sports fan.

Surviving in addition to his mother are a step-father, Ronald L. Soubie of Conneaut Lake; and a brother, Matthew K. Norton of Coraopolis.

Friends will be received from 4 – 8 p.m. Friday, July 24 at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where a Blessing Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 with Rev. Ben Vaghetto, pastor of St. Alphonsus R.C. Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald.
