Michael Tyler Lukan

Michael Tyler Lukan, 22, of McDonald died Friday, July 4, 2014 at Allegheny General Hospital of Pittsburgh.

He was born November 29, 1991 in Pittsburgh, the son of Michael Lukan of Rochester and Louise T. (Judge) Lukan of Carnegie.

Mr. Lukan was a graduate of PA Leadership Charter School and a junior at California University.

He was an infantryman in the Army National Guard Co. B, 1 st Battalion, 110 th Infantry, Waynesburg.

Mr. Lukan enjoyed riding motorcycle and time spent with his “brother” Brenon Camp. He was a body builder and finished 9 th in the 2014 Mr. Pittsburgh competition.

Surviving in addition to his parents are a sister, Ashley A. Lukan of Greentree; maternal grandparents, Newell and Beverly Judge of Carnegie; a special cousin, Charlie Judge of Carnegie; five aunts and uncles, Eugene (Mary) Lukan of NC, Raymond (Dolores) Lukan of McDonald, Ronald (Sue) Lukan of Midway, Nelson Judge of Carnegie and Mary (Dino) Galiotos of Westerville, OH; and several cousins.

Deceased are his paternal grandparents, Peter and Veronica Lukan; and an uncle, Newell Charles Judge, Jr.

Friends will be received from 1 – 4 and from 6 – 9 p.m. Tuesday, at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 9 th with Rev. Robert Brown, chaplain of 1 st Battalion, 107 th Field Artillery, New Castle, officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Center Cemetery, Midway. The family suggests memorials to Wounded Warrior Project, 301 Grant Street, Suite 900, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
