Michael J. Komec Jr.

Michael J. Komec, Jr., 65, of McDonald, died Thursday, August 3, 2017 at his home.

He was born July 30, 1952 in Canonsburg, a son of the late Michael S. and Elizabeth (Bondi) Komec.

Mr. Komec last worked as a mechanic’s helper at Russell Industries in Bridgeville. After that, he worked as a truck driver for a limestone quarry and for Wood Waste Management.

He was a social member of the Midway V.F.W., a member of the Midway S.N.P.J. and a member of the Operating Engineers Local #66.

Mr. Komec listed as his hobbies his cat “Slick”, mowing grass and drinking beer. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

On January 24, 1983, he married Bonnie J. Venner, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Tiffany N. (Amy Rowley) Komec of Keene, VA; and a brother, Robert (Julia) Komec of North Platte, NB.

A service will be held at a date in the future. Arrangements are under the direction of Nation Funeral Home, Inc., McDonald.
