Mary (Lucarini) Howell
March 26, 1924 — February 10, 2016
Mary Howell, 91, of McDonald died peacefully in her home on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, surrounded by her family.
She was born March 26, 1924 in Robinson Township, a daughter of the late Italo and Angelina (Deluca) Lucarini.
Mrs. Howell was a homemaker.
She was an active member of the Oakdale Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. As such, she volunteered much time over the years in preaching the good news of God’s Kingdom and the blessings it will bring to all humankind. She also enjoyed spending time with family, cooking in the kitchen, and gardening outside.
On July 22, 1944, she married John M. ”Jack” Howell Sr., who died March 11, 1986.
Surviving are two sons, John M. (Cheryl) Howell, Jr. and David R. (Dawna) Howell, both of McDonald; three daughters, Barbara Jean (Jerry) Kaufman and Deborah Lynn Ellena, both of McDonald and Sandra Lee (Mark) Hilker of Canonsburg; two brothers, John (Susan) Lucarini of FL and Albert Lucarini of Griffin, GA; a sister, Virginia (Ray) Williams of Phoenix, AZ; ten grandchildren, Kira Thompson, Nathan and Micah Howell, Sharon Flinchbaugh, Joshua, Jared and Aaron Kaufman, Marissa and Brendon Hilker and Dara Casterline; and eight great grandchildren, Halen Parkinson, Sydney Mehalic, Brody Howell, Max Howell, Olivia Howell, Emma, Gracie and Tessa Kaufman.
Deceased are three brothers, Louis J., Steven and Julius Lucarini; and a sister, Anna Rossi.
Family and friends will be received at a Memorial Service held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2016, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 198 North Branch Road, Oakdale, PA 15071.
