Martin "Bird" Mahoney

Martin “Bird” Mahoney, 87, of McDonald, died Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Washington Hospital.
He was born January 4, 1924 in Primrose a son of the late John and Mary (Tomzin) Mahoney.
Mr. Mahoney retired from American Bridge, Ambridge as a Steel Worker in 1976 after 37 years of service.
He was a member of S.N.P.J., Midway and a social member of the Midway V.F.W.
Surviving are three nieces, Marsha (Brian) Cox of McDonald, Elaine Hoag of McDonald and Shirley Mahoney of Chicago, IL; and two nephews, John Davis of Columbus, OH and Raymond Mahoney of Antiauk, CA.
Deceased are five brothers, John, Ralph, Frank, Victor and Charles Mahoney; and four sisters, Mary Davis, Ann Licker, Martha Filauro and Frances Mahoney.
Friends will be received from 4 - 9 pm Friday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 6 with Rev. Jeff Marshall, pastor of New Day Assembly of God, McMurray, officiating. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery, Midway.
