Marie Rose (Hutchinson) Fodse

Marie Rose Fodse, 93, of McDonald. died Friday, October 20, 2017 at Southmont Presbyterian Senior Care of Washington.
She was born August 10, 1924 in Washington County, a daughter of the late Thomas and Celina (DuBois) Hutchinson, Sr.
Mrs. Fodse was a homemaker.
She was past president of the former McDonald Women’s Club, and elder of the former Calvary Presbyterian Church, McDonald (where she was a Sunday School Teacher) and a deacon of the Center U.P. Church, Midway. She was an avid baker and worked as a volunteer for the McDonald Meals on Wheels program.
On September 12, 1945, she married Lawrence M. Fodse, who died January 10, 1988.
Surviving are a daughter, Kathleen R. Cimarolli of Swansboro, NC; a son, Lawrence W. (Katy) Fodse of Swansboro, NC; three grandchildren, Gwen Hibbs, Anthony Cimarolli and Nicholas Cimarolli; and two great grandchildren, Sarah and Jackson Hibbs.
Deceased are a daughter, Rebecca Farmer; a brother, Thomas Hutchinson Jr.; and two sisters, Victoria Riggle and Virginia Petrossi.
All services are private and under the direction of Nation Funeral Home, Inc., McDonald. Burial will be in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald.
