Margaret "Peg" (Deichler) Heirendt

Margaret “Peg” Heirendt, 95, of McDonald, died Friday, January 3, 2014 at Canonsburg Hospital.
She was born March 7, 1918 in Cecil, a daughter of the late Henry and Augusta "Hattie" (Vaurand) Deichler.
Mrs. Heirendt was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
On June 1, 1938, she married Nick Steve Heirendt, who died January 3, 1993.
Surviving are two sons, Nick H. (Connie) Heirendt and William "Pine" (Marlene) Heirendt, both of McDonald; two daughters-in-law, Mary Heirendt and Sharon Gooderal, both of McDonald; a sister, Viola Taylor of Colorado Springs, CO; eight grandchildren, Lawrence, Robert, Ronald, Brian, Nicole, Michelle, Nick and Jacklyn; and 13 great grandchildren.
Deceased are two sons, Lawrence and Jack Heirendt; and six sisters, Irene Strimmel, Josephine Pintar, Henrietta Stokes, Lucille Zambelli, Violet Fazzolare and Ruth Bushner.
Friends will be received from 12 – 4 and from 6 – 9 p.m. Sunday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 6 with Rev. Dennis Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15205-4620.
