Margaret M. Castner

Margaret M. Castner, age 97, of Canonsburg, passed on Friday, September 17, 2021 at her daughters home surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born June 20, 1924 in Atlasburg; a daughter of George and Helen Stefura Matalik.

On October 11, 1943 she married the late Alfred M. Castner.

Margaret enjoyed playing bingo, cards, going to the Casino, country music and scratch off lottery tickets. What she enjoyed the most was spending time with her family.

Surviving are ten children, Carole (Paul) Heardink of Bloomington IN, Nancy (late-Dave) Harmon of Burgettstown, Bonnie (Robert) Clark of FL, Marjorie (late-Phil) Levato of Canonsburg, Rita (Bernie) Handerhan of Little Elm, TX, Patricia Castner of Atlasburg, Bella (Jim) Dodd of Cambridge, OH, John (Stephanie) Castner of Burgettstown Larry and Mark Castner both of Canonsburg; two brothers, Aemil (late Barb) Matalik of Burgettstown, Robert (Freddie) Matalik  of Burgettstown; 24 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 22 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two sons, Terry and Robert Castner; a daughter Alice Hayes; 5 brothers, George, Charles, Joseph, Thomas, and James Matalik and a sister Helen Knauss.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at Nation Funeral Home Inc. 220 E. Lincoln Ave. McDonald, PA. 15057; where services will take place Wednesday September 22, 2021 at 11:00Am. Interment will follow at Candor Cemetery, Bulger.
