Lenora A. Kemp

Lenora A. Kemp, 62, of McDonald, Cecil Township, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, February 25, 2014, in St. Clair Hospital, Mt. Lebanon, with her brother and sister by her side.

She was born April 2, 1951, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Daniel and Paulene Smith Kemp.

Miss Kemp was a 1969 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and a graduate of the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy, where she was licensed in cosmetology.

She had been employed by Abbott Tresses, Borrough’s Corp, Westinghouse Corp, Globe Security and U.S. Airways, where she retired after more than 30 years of service.

Miss Kemp enjoyed spending time with her family and living by the word of her Lord and Savior.

With her beautiful smile, she would light up a room with her presence. She had the ability to genuinely befriend everyone she encountered. Always uplifting with her warm smile, generous compliments and spontaneous humor, she made everyone feel good, welcomed and like family.

She was member of the Lioness Club and lifelong member of First Baptist Church in McDonald, where she served on the usher and missionary boards.

In her final years, she devoted her life and time to providing full-time care for her mother and father.

Miss Kemp was the cherished sister of Odessa Kemp, Daniel (wife Cassandra) Kemp and Theresa I. Armstrong and loving aunt to a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Nation Funeral Home, 218 East Lincoln Avenue, McDonald. Additional visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m., the time of service, Saturday, March 1, in First Baptist Church, McDonald. Interment will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald.
