Kenneth G. Chickie

Kenneth G. Chickie, 79, of McDonald, died Friday, June 14, 2013 at his home.
He was born May 26, 1934 in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Albert and Marian (Reiner) Chickie.
Mr. Chickie served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a truck driver for the U.S. Postal Service at the Downtown office and retired in 1991.
He enjoyed gambling trips to the casinos and his beloved dog “Coco”.
On September 15, 1962, he married Diana M.Descamps, who died November 16, 2011.
Surviving are two daughters, Joanne Griffin of McDonald and Claudine (Jeff) McDonald of McKees Rocks; and three grandchildren, Ian Griffin, Jordan Griffin and Rachelle Chickie.
Friends and family will meet at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville for a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 21, with Fr. Benedetto Vaghetto, pastor of St. Alphonsus R.C. Church, McDonald, officiating. A Memorial Gathering Time will be held at the McDonald V.F.W. Post #567, E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 22.
