Katherine A. (Gzikowski) Dupain

Katherine A. Dupain, 77, of McDonald, died Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at the Washington Hospital.

She was born March 15, 1939 in Canton Township, a daughter of the late Charles and Martha (Randolph) Gzikowski.

Mrs. Dupain was a homemaker.

She was a former member of the Moose Club in Wellsburg, WV.

Mrs. Dupain loved going with her family on shopping trips to Walmart, Aldi’s or Dollar General; and each trip also had to include either breakfast or lunch. She enjoyed baking and cooking for holiday meals and she always looked forward to babysitting her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

On December 23, 1955, she married Donald Dupain, who died September 13, 2012.

Surviving are a daughter, Deborah L. Diserio of Weirton, WV;  a sister, Margaret (Bill) McDaniel of Barnesville, OH; two brothers, Henry (Shirley) Gzikowski of Avella and Charles (Cindy) Gzikowski of Canonsburg; six grandchildren, Maria Nicole (Vincent) Dunn, Robert Paul (Heather) Dornan, Jr., Eric David (Julie) Dornan, Antonio Martino Diserio, Katherine Dawn Diserio and Derrick Thomas Diserio; and four great grandchildren, Vincent Dunn Jr., Jillian Nicole Dornan, Jocelyn Rae Webb and Olivia Search.

Deceased are a son, Donald C. (Patricia of Burgettstown) Dupain; and two brothers, Raymond Gzikowski and Charles Gzikowski, II.

Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and from 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2016. Burial will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville. There will be no visitation or services on Monday.
