Joseph F. Hackimer

Joseph F. Hackimer age 68, of Hanover Twp., passed on Wednesday, August 10, 2022.
He was born February 28, 1954 in Canonsburg; a son of the late Frank and Rose Mary Bozicvich Hackimer.
Joe was a graduate of Canon McMillian High School class of 1972. He was employed by Watco in Industry PA., as a heavy equipment operator for 27 years; where he retired in 2016.
On May 26, 1977, he married Loretta Jean Krull, who passed, April 29, 2008.
Joe was a Hanover Volunteer Fireman in Hookstown, PA. He had a passion for racing. Joe raced his street stock car at Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. After he retired from racing he would attend dirt track racing events in western PA. He loved Nascar, fishing, his two cats, Munchkin and Tigger, and traveling with his camper.
Survivng is a son Christopher (Terri) Hackimer of Pittsburgh; a daughter April (Shane) Yoest of McDonald; a sister Mary (Tom) McElgunn of Novi, MI; five grandchildren, Ashleigh, Brandon and Hayden Hackimer, Rylee and Adasyn Yoest; one great grandchild Adeline Hucik.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, August 14, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at Nation Funeral Home Inc. 218 E. Lincoln Ave. McDonald, PA. 15057; where a service will take place on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 11:00AM. Entombment will follow in Beaver Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hanover Volunteer Fire Department.
