John C. Banas

John C. “Jackson -or- Bananas” Banas, 72, of McDonald, died, Monday, March 31, 2014.
He was born December 18, 1941 in Heildelberg a son of the late John Alexander Banas and Margaret Wolozanowicz Medwig.
Mr Banas was a semi-truck driver traveling across the country. He worked for General Cryogenics in Washington, Edmunds trucking in McDonald and Mike’s Service Mart in McDonald where he retired. Mr. Banas also enjoyed deer hunting.
Surviving is a fiancée Melinda DeVeaney of McDonald; a daughter Mary Jo Banas and a granddaughter Allison Banas both of Imperial.
Family will receive friends Friday, April 4, 2014 from 6-8pm and Saturday from 11-1pm the time of services at Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald. In Lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 444 Liberty Ave., Suite 1300, Pittsburgh, PA. 15222.
