James E. "Jim" Wheeler

James E. “Jim” Wheeler, 68, of South Strabane Township, died Monday, October 11, 2021.
He was born July 16, 1953 in Washington; a son of James O. and Margaret Nelle Spicer Wheeler.
Jim worked for South Strabane Township road department from where he retired in 2013. He was a member of South Strabane V.F.D., a former counselor at Camp Buffalo, and a Boy Scout leader. Jim enjoyed building things from scratch, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
Surviving are two sons, Brandon (Dana) Wheeler of Hickory and Jordon (Sarah) Wheeler of Mt Morris; two sisters, Carol Sefton of MD, and Patricia Wright of CO; five grandchildren, Reese, Elias, Gavin, Judah, and Abigail Wheeler; and his care giver for many years, Kathy Wheeler.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at Nation Funeral Home Inc. 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald; where services will take place Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 12:30 PM.
