Isabelle F. (Couderc) Wauthier

Isabelle F. Wauthier, 100, of McDonald, died Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Victoria Manor of Oakdale.

She was born April 30, 1915 in McDonald, a daughter of the late Harry and Margaret (Terle) Couderc.

Mrs. Wauthier was a 1933 graduate of McDonald High School and was a homemaker.

She was a member of Cross Connection Alliance Church, McDonald. She was very involved in church activities and loved reading her Bible. She was a member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the McDonald American Legion. She enjoyed watching Lawrence Welk and Atlanta Braves baseball.

On November 21, 1945, she married Leopold T. Wauthier, who died Feb. 10, 1992.

Surviving are two sons, L. Thomas “Bun” (Shirley Austin) Wauthier of Washington and William M. “Moss” (Sandy) Wauthier of Midway; a daughter, Susan R. Wauthier of New Wilmington; six grandchildren, Ryan Lee, Donna Lee, Emily and Cory Wauthier, Dustin Ackley and Jennifer Caldwell; and five great grandchildren, Rylie Wauthier, Kendra McKee, Halle Schultz, William Ackley and Mason Caldwell.

Deceased are six brothers, Paul, Harry, John, Robert, Richard and Kenneth Couderc; and four sisters, Margaret Russell, Esther Patterson, Edna Ruth Borovich and Evelyn Jamison.

Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and from 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 3, 2015 with Rev. Kevin Truman, pastor of Cross Connection Alliance Church, McDonald, officiating.  Burial will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Cross Connection Alliance Church, 201 Valley St., McDonald, PA 15057.
