Iola “Red” Cerezo Herzer, 89, of McDonald, died Saturday, October 20, 2012.
She was born October 20, 1923 in Reedsville, WV, a daughter of William Staley and Lillian Arvella (Trautman) Strawser.
Mrs. Herzer enjoyed Country Music
On January 19, 1946, she married Victor T. Cerezo, who died April 2, 1992. On November 11, 1996 she married John R. Herzer, who survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two step sons, John R Herzer Jr. and Gary Herzer, both of Pittsburgh; a step daughter, Karen Snodgrass of Pittsburgh; a brother, Roy. L. Strawser of McDonald; two nieces, Linda Matchett of Bulger and Suzanne Seitz of Harmony; two nephews, George Cerezo of McDonald and Raymond Cerezo of Selingrove.
Deceased is a daughter, Shirley Ann Cerezo; three sisters, Lucille Margaret Holmes, Leona Curl and Eleanor Marie Methany; and a brother, George J. Strawser.
Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday at Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where a Blessing Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2012. Burial will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery.
