Homer Earl Parkison

Homer Earl Parkison, 78, of McDonald, died Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at his home.

He was born November 20, 1937 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Ernest and Grace (Frazier) Parkison.

Mr. Parkison worked on the docks for U.S. Steel and then became an inspector for Quality Rolls Steel Mill. He also worked with his brother-in-law laying brick.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

On June 4, 1960, he married Bette J. Parkison, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Randy Lee Parkison of McDonald; three sisters, Lois (the late Jack) Dempe of McDonald, Dorothy (Floyd) Alfred of Midway and Terri (Denny) Terensky of Sturgeon; a brother: Robert (Jill) Parkison of McDonald; two grandchildren, Ashli B. (J.J.) Foster and Connor J. Parkison.

Deceased is a brother, Carl Parkison.

All services are private and under the direction of Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Washington County Humane Society, PO Box 66, Eighty Four, PA 15330.
