Goldie E. Jeannette, 92, of McDonald, died Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Washington Co. Health Center.
She was born December 16, 1918 in Tuscarora, a daughter of the late George W. and Nancy A. (Mertz) Hooker.
Mrs. Jeannette was a homemaker and a member of McDonald United Methodist Church for more than 50 years.
On October 5, 1940, she married Henry S. Jeannette who died August 16, 1980.
Surviving are three sons, Gerald D. (Linda) Jeannette of Clinton, Henry L. "Bud" (Kathy) Jeanette of McDonald and Rodney (Dolores) W. Jeannette of Bridgeville; two daughters, Nancy J. (Edward) Cousins of Bulger and Joy L. Descutner of McDonald; a sister, Betty J. Livingston of McDonald; 20 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Deceased are one brothers, Leroy Hooker; five sisters, Beulah Englehart, Josephine Weimer, Cleo P. Quinn, Georgia Jennette and Shirley L. Snatchko; and a granddaughter, Dana Lynn Jeanette.
Friends will be received from 6 – 8 pm Wednesday and from 2 – 4 and from 6 – 8 pm Friday at Nation Funeral Home, 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 26, with the Rev. Ken Miller, pastor of McDonald United Methodist Church, officiating.
