George J. Matalik

George J. Matalik, age 73, of McDonald, passed on Sunday, July 16, 2023.

He was born February 2, 1950 in Pittsburgh; a son of the late Joseph and Mary Wozniak Matalik.

George was a graduate of Fort Cherry High School class of 1970. George would cut grass for many residences in McDonald. He enjoyed playing bingo and cards. He would also attend Mass at St. Isidore the farmer Parish, St. Alphonsus worship site.

Surviving are two brothers, Michael Matalik of TX, and Joseph Matalik of Atlasburg; a sister Mary Ann (Phil) LaQuatra of McDonald, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two brothers, Steven and John Matalik.

A Memorial Gathering will take place on Friday, July 21, 2023 from 6:30 to 7:30 at Nation Funeral Home Inc. 220 E. Lincoln Ave. McDonald, PA. 15057. A blessing service will take place immediately following the Memorial Gathering at 7:30PM. Memoral contributions can be made to Nation Funeral Home Inc.
