Gary L. Brockman, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on December 21, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on August 10, 1948; a son of Gerald and Wilma Jean Emerick Brockman. Gary's life was marked by devotion to his family and a commendable career that spanned over three decades.
A proud graduate of Fort Cherry High School, class of 1966, Gary furthered his education at Pittsburgh Technical Institute. He dedicated more than 30 years of his professional life to Duquesne Light, where he worked as a Supervisor until his retirement in 2007. His contributions to the company and the community were immeasurable, leaving behind a legacy of integrity and diligence. Gary also was a member of Center UP Church in Midway.
Gary possessed a love for the outdoors, finding joy in hunting, fishing, and boating. His greatest passion, however, was spending time with his family. He embraced every moment shared with loved ones, creating lasting memories and a deep bond that will forever be treasured.
On September 4, 1993, Gary married Karen Pierrard. Survivng is his daughter, Michelle (Edward) Budavich, his sons, Todd and David Rudy. Grandchildren Joshua and Caleb Budavich, along with Cassandra, Katelyn, Austin, and Bobby Rudy, were a source of immense joy and pride for him.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 26, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Graff-Nation Funeral and Cremation Services, located at 218-220 East Lincoln Ave, McDonald, PA 15057. A funeral service will take place the following day, December 27, 2024, at 11:00 AM, also at Graff-Nation Funeral and Cremation Services, which will be followed by a burial at Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald, PA.
The memory of Gary L. Brockman will forever remain alive in the hearts of those who knew him, a testament to a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments. His legacy will continue through the family he adored and the countless lives he touched during his years.
