Frank J. Csuhta

Frank J. Csuhta, Sr., 93, of Sturgeon, died Thursday, December 5, 2013 at McMurray Hills Manor.

He was born July 29, 1920 in Buffington , a son of the late Mike and Elizabeth (Orris) Csuhta.

Mr. Csuhta was a 1940 graduate of South Fayette High School and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII.

He worked as an Assembler with Homestead Industries for over 20 years before his retirement.

Mr. Csuhta was a former Scoutmaster and Cubmaster in Sturgeon as well as a life member of the Sturgeon V.F.D.

On June 1, 1942, he married Victorine M. Dams, who died  Aug. 30, 2012.

Surviving are four daughters, Frances J. Mussomeli of Penn Run, Carolyn L. (Felix) Manzini of Lawrence, Kathy J. (Bernie) Swigunski of Cecil and Debra L. (Bill) McGivern of McDonald; a son, Frank J. (Kathy) Csuhta of Imperial; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

Deceased are 10 brothers and sisters.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where a Blessing Service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 9 with Rev. Ben Vaghetto, pastor of St. Alphonsus R.C. Church, officiating.  Burial will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
