Frances Louise Edmonds Scott

Frances Louise Scott age, 89, of McDonald, PA passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, May 2, 2021.

Frances was born June 30, 1931 in McDonald PA; daughter of the late Bernard Saul and Leila James Edmonds. She was a member of the 1949 graduating class of McDonald High School.

On November 6, 1953 she married, James H. Scott, who passed, September 17, 2011. From this blessed union, Leigh Donna, a daughter was born.

Frances excepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in McDonald, PA. She was a dedicated member of the trustee board and received recognition for 19 years of faithful service and held the position of chairman for several of those years. She was a member of the Choralier, Missionary and First Baptist Church Choirs. Frances was also an annual day captain and a member of the ladies’ usher board and bible study group.

In 1978, she worked as an elementary school crossing guard. In the Summer of 1979, she traveled to England and Paris France with her sister, Mary. Her nephew called them “the Blues Sisters.”

Her hobbies included sewing, crewel embroidering and bowling and she bowled in the Bold One’s bowling league in Bridgeville. She had a love for sports and could be seen cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates on game day.

Surviving is a daughter, Leigh Donna (Edward) Moss of McDonald; a grandson, Adam (Haley) Moss and two great- grandchildren Lincoln and Cruz Moss; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are a sister, Mary Elizabeth Lyons and two brothers, Samuel James and Bernard Saul Edmonds Jr.
