Florence Marie (Conn) Bowland

Florence Marie Bowland, 75, of Southview, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at her home.

She was born September 29, 1939 in Washington, a daughter of the late Charles Alfred and Florence Marie (Orris) Conn. She was raised by her late grandparents, Margaret & Harry Berthold.

Mrs. Bowland was a 1957 graduate of Cecil High School. She had worked as a certified nurse’s aide for John J. Kane Hospital in Scott Township.

She was a member of Kingdom Hall.

On November 23, 1957, she married Daniel R. Bowland, Jr., who survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Janice M. (Ron) Lukasik of Southview, Jacqueline L. Bowland and Jayme D. Irwin, both of Southview; three sons, Daniel R. Bowland III and Duane C. Bowland, both of Southview, and Darrell S. (Valerie) Bowland of Canonsburg; eight grandchildren, Daniel R. Bowland IV, Dustin (fiancée Marilyn) Bowland, Chastity ( fiancée Nick) Coleman, Amber Coleman, Ryan Snieth, Amie ( fiancée Alex) Bowland, Darrell Bowland, Jr. and Savannah Irwin; 11 great grandchildren; and five special care givers, Janelle, Erin, Skip, Michelle and Paula.

Deceased are a brother, Charles Conn; and a sister, Esther Hutchko.

Friends will be received from 4-6 p.m. Saturday and from 12-4 p.m. Sunday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where services will be held at a time to be determined on Tuesday, May 26. Burial will follow in National Cemetery of The Alleghenies, Bridgeville. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Kingdom Hall, 198 North Branch Road, Oakdale, PA 15071.
