Evelyn Jean Ganchuk

Evelyn Jean Ganchuk, 81, of McDonald, went to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family, on Monday January 1, 2018.

Mrs. Ganchuk was born March 24, 1936 in McDonald, a daughter of James and Lillian (Patterson) Robertson.

She was a 1954 graduate of McDonald High School. She worked at several local businesses, one being Bard’s in McDonald.

Mrs. Ganchuk was a member of Independent Bible Presbyterian Church in McDonald. She loved gambling at casino’s, reading and going on family vacations.

On June 19, 1954, she married Fred Ganchuk, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Alicia (Dennis) Slovick of McDonald and Tammy (Robert) McDowell of McDonald; two sons, Fred E. (Naomi) Ganchuk of Bethal Park and Douglas J. Ganchuk of McDonald; nine grandchildren, Nathaniel Mattern, Emily Demkowicz, Lillian and Alexis Ganchuk, Paula Marin, Dennis and Chad Slovick and Jim and Katie McDowell; and ten great- grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald where services will be held Thursday January 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald.
