Ellen Marie (Deichler) Pusateri

Ellen Marie Pusateri, 91, of McDonald, died Monday, August 20, 2012 in her home.

She was born November 18, 1920 in McDonald, a daughter of the late Peter and Pheobe Smith Deichler.

Mrs. Pusateri worked for several local businesses in McDonald as well as running her own yarn business during her life. Among the places she worked were the former Fi-Del Cleaners and the former Fini’s Restaurant, both in McDonald.

In 1939, she married William Irwin, who died in 1951. On July 19, 1952, she married Walter Pusateri, who died November 19, 1969.

She was a member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post #567, McDonald and a member and past president of the McDonald-Cecil Senior Citizens.  She loved crocheting, crossword puzzles and Bingo but especially enjoyed spending time with family.

Surviving are a daughter, Marie (Albert) Deveaney of Oakdale; two sons, Walter M. (Sally) Pusateri of Deep Run, NC and Ernest J. (Debbie) Pusateri of McDonald; a sister, Audrey Curiale of Sebastian, FL; a brother, George Deichler of Apopka, FL; 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Deceased are two daughters, Mary Jane Bugay and Audrey Bramer; three sisters, Margaret Robbins, Gertrude Donelli and Betty Deichler; four brothers, William, Joseph, Harry and James Deichler; and one grandchild.

Friends will be received from 2 – 9 p.m. Wednesday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 23 with Rev.
